Felicia is a Classical Singer and Music Therapist. She has lived in Canada and Spain. She is passionate about music and how it can create a shared emotional experience with others no matter their background, language, or culture. It can connect people in ways words sometimes can't.
Felicia is interested in using music in her Clinical practice, as a powerful psychotherapeutic tool to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression and also neurodevelopmental disorders including attention-deficit or hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. She is a full member of the The Portuguese Music Therapy Association (APMT).
During the brief or long-term care, she helps clients to reestablish relationships, explore the unconscious mind, emotional conflicts and early life experiences through sound and movement, allowing them to process their feelings, gain insights and foster personal growth.
Main areas of Interest: Trauma, Gender Issues, Depression, Personality Disorders, Psychosomatic Disorders, Perinatal disorders and Stress management.
