Marina O’Connor is a relationship psychotherapist specialising in couples work. She holds a postgraduate degree in clinical psychology and trauma psychotherapy, is a qualified transactional analysis practitioner, and is trained in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), which forms a core part of her work with couples.

Marina supports couples who find themselves stuck in repeating cycles of conflict, distance, power struggles, or emotional disconnection. Her work focuses on how unresolved childhood and developmental wounds shape adult relationships, helping partners move from reactivity and blame into greater accountability, emotional maturity, and relational safety.

Before training as a psychotherapist, Marina had a successful career in building and developing businesses, including her own VC-backed venture. She also supports entrepreneurs who notice that the same early relational dynamics show up in their intimate relationships and leadership roles.

She is a member of EATA (European Association of Transactional Analysis) and COSRT (College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists, UK).

Alongside her private practice, Marina created and facilitates the therapeutic group programme “What Do We Pass On?”. The programme supports participants in healing childhood and attachment wounds, understanding how early relational experiences are replayed in adult relationships, and consciously re-deciding what patterns they carry forward into their partnerships and families.
